As we see the economy turn around more marketing dollars are becoming available. With that, companies are starting to re-evaluate their online presence. When the economy took a down turn many companies cancelled or greatly scaled back their online initiatives. But with things slowly turning around it is time to start looking at new means of advertising in the online space.

Areas to Focus:

Social Media - Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social networks are a great sources to promote your company. It takes work, time and some effort to get this marketing initiative up and running but in the long run it is worth it. Building an online "following" will help your company no matter what industry you are in. You can alert your followers of new product launches, specials or other events/promotions that your company is offering.

Update that WEBSITE - If your website is looking a little old, it might be time for an update. A new fresh look for 2010 can't hurt. Today many web consumers know the difference between what a good website is and what a top notch website is. This also plays an important part in the consumer having trust in the services and products that you offer. We are a very visually driven society and it is best to capitalize on that, with an appealing website that has an up to date design.

Email Marketing - This can be an inexpensive way to market if you already have a list of email addresses. Otherwise purchasing a list can be expensive, but if you narrow down the demographics of the list, can greatly benefit the company. Sending out a professionally designed email can capture potential clients and remind them that you exist.

These are just a few things that you can start to do, while the economy is on a slow up swing. Staying ahead with your online marketing plan can make a huge difference in the long run.
